BGA highlights testing procedures with new-to-range products

Automotive aftermarket supplier BG Automotive (BGA) has introduced 21 new product references across its timing chain, crankshaft pulley, gasket, cylinder head cover, valves, and its steering and suspension range.

Continuous development by BGA’s Product Development team ensures that only the most relevant automotive references are being released each month to ensure that businesses remain competitive covering the latest aftermarket applications.

Timing chain reference ‘TC2744FK’ has been added covering popular applications such as Hyundai i20 2015 onwards & Kia Rio 2015 onwards. The company tests its timing chains rigourously, with them undergoing a series of procedures to ensure their quality:

Tensile testing of chains
Chains are subjected to control pulling force with a range of different parameters measured, presented as a line graph showing elongation, yield point, maximum operating load and maximum load against the OE alternative, ensuring quality is matched.

VVT function testing – outperform the original
The VVT is mounted in a bespoke fixture which enables real world evaluation of torque performance, critical to its operation within the engine valve train.

Tensioner spring rate test
This test evaluates the core element of the tensioner [the spring] as the spring is responsible for more than 90%+ of the applied tension to the chain. Performance specification is critical.

Guide sizing
CMM Machines are utilised to evaluate Guide sizing against OE, guaranteeing an original specification alignment and fitment.

BGA adds to steering and suspension range

12 new references have been added to BGA’s Steering and Suspension comprehensive range covering popular models such as Audi, VW, Citroen, Peugeot, Vauxhall/Opel, Ford and Tesla.

The ‘SC0100’ reference has been released for Tesla Model S 2014 onwards and is one of the many planned aftermarket references for the electric automotive market. Reference ‘TRC01055’ covers models such as Audi E-Tron 2018 onwards, Audi Q7 2018 onwards and VW Touareg.

BGA technologies, such as induction hardening, CNC machining, cataphoresis and its high-capacity forging facility, ensures that its Steering and Suspension references have the highest standard of rust resistance in comparison to competitors.
