Fleet Guy discusses the future of fleet service

Fleet Guy hosted an exclusive, high-level event to bring together senior leaders from across the UK fleet sector, to explore the future of fleet service, maintenance and repair.

Delivered in partnership with Castrol and Automechanika Birmingham, the event reflected the growing industry focus on strengthening collaboration between fleet operators and the independent aftermarket.

Held at Hampton Manor ahead of the UK Garage and Bodyshop Event, the dinner convened a select group of fleet decision-makers for strategic discussion on standards, capability and the evolving role of independent garages in fleet Service, Maintenance and Repair.

“This is a key milestone for us to get many of the FN50 companies in the room,” commented Tim Guidotti, Founder of Fleet Guy. “Between them, they look after 3.5 million vehicles in the UK, so their input is critical to evolving the partnerships between independent garages and fleet companies.”

New launch from Fleet Guy

As part of the evening, Fleet Guy shared early details of the upcoming Fleet Guy Audit Hub, a new compliance platform designed to give garages a single place to report their compliance status, and to give fleet companies confidence when selecting independent workshops for service, repair and maintenance work.

Joanne Knowles, Event Director for Automechanika Birmingham, said: “This is an exciting time for the aftermarket as more attention turns towards the fleet sector, with a growing number of garages looking to get more actively involved in this space.

“As organisers of the UK’s largest aftermarket exhibition, it’s important for us to deepen our understanding of the industry so we can better represent and support the fleet sector at our events.”

Courtney Forman, Account Manager Distributor Europe at Castrol, added: “Fleet is a major growth opportunity for the independent aftermarket, and Fleet Guy has created the missing link between leaders, fleets, suppliers and workshops. It helps quality independents become more visible, compliant and connected.

“For Castrol, this is exciting and highly relevant to the Castrol Service network. This is a clear opportunity to support high-performing workshops as they build capability and meet growing fleet demand.”

Fleet Guy, founded by workshop owner Tim Guidotti, has rapidly become a catalyst for change in this space. Over the past year, the platform has helped independent garages build the skills, confidence and professionalism required to support fleet contracts at scale, with a mission to close the gap between fleet expectations and independent-garage capability.
