Online car maintenance and repair marketplace FixMyCar has announced the appointment of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Amanda Webb as interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO), with immediate effect.
Webb will replace Kevern Thompson, who took up the CEO role in March of this year.
Since Niterra purchased the company, FixMyCar has undergone a period of transformation, and this too is reflected in the company’s changing management structure. The company has taken this opportunity to thank Thompson for his input over the past few months and we wish him all the best for the future.
New role for Webb
Webb joined FixMyCar as CFO in April of this year, Webb is a CIMA Qualified Finance Director with over 20 years of experience across sectors including renewable energy services, telco, professional services, software and financial services.
She has an excellent record both in financial leadership and managing full-life-cycle projects from design to finish, which gives her the ideal credentials to support the business as it evolves and grows.
Webb will be principally tasked with focusing on laying the groundwork for a wider expansion of FixMyCar as the search for a new CEO continues. This is likely to take up to six months.
“The car maintenance marketplace, like the rest of the auto industry, is undergoing big changes and Niterra is determined to have the right management team in place at FixMyCar to meet future challenges, provide unrivalled services in this key Aftermarket area and ensure that customer needs are always met in this intensely competitive market” the company said in its statement.
