An introduction to the news

Welcome to a new chapter in automotive aftermarket publishing. This is a project that has been in development for the last 12 months, has had a lot of time and effort spent on it and intends to grow as the years go by.

So firstly, hi. I’m Phil Curry and if you don’t know me, I hope you will soon. I’m the Managing Editor of Auto Repair Focus – or ARF as it may come to be known – and the owner of PJR Media. We run other websites, including All Torque and BHP Magazine, while I also freelance for a number of different publications. I’m also the former Editor of Aftermarket magazine in the UK, and passionate about the automotive aftermarket as a whole.

Now at this point you may be asking why I’ve decided to establish a new website, when there are other magazines out there. A good question, and hopefully this is a good answer. In this industry, much is moving online, where convenience allows technicians and business owners to look at an article at their leisure, search easily for a topic and go back through an archive of articles. Other publications have websites, but most simply recycle the content from the magazine, or concentrate on news stories and products.

ARF is different. We aim to be a true online magazine. The site will be updated regularly with news, technical and product related features, product reviews and more that will help technicians and business owners make those important decisions. However we can offer so much more. We understand that online, it is not just business and work related stuff that you want to read. We will bring you blogs from people around the industry, videos – either technical or fun – and even review cars and sporting events. We also want to hear from you, if you have videos to share, written case studies to publish – everything can be linked back to you and your business.

My team and I have spent eight months – at time of reading – setting everything up to ensure that Auto Repair Focus can be your one online stop for a raft of information and fun, and we won’t be resting there. Over time there will be further developments to ensure that you remain excited about our content. Meanwhile, we are also open to suggestions, anything you want to see. Comments are open on articles, while you can email team@autorepairfocus.com and we will listen intently.

Finally, there’s the newsletter. A fortnightly bulletin of news and exclusive content that you won’t see on the website, at least not for some time. If you want to sign up (and it’s free so why wouldn’t you?!) the box on the right of this page is the one to fill out.

Auto Repair Focus will work with the industry to bring you everything you need to ensure you can be a success in the aftermarket. We will work with partners to promote training and events through our calendar, promote products, services and offers with convenient links to the companies in question, and pass on your questions to those in the know, in order to educate and inform.

The aftermarket is our passion, and Auto Repair Focus is our outlet for it. I look forward to welcoming you along for the ride.
