Automechanika Birmingham returns to the NEC for the first time in four years from 6–8 June, and the event organisers have gone above and beyond to ensure motor factors and distributors have all their needs covered at the three-day event, with the launch of the motorXfactor VIP Club, together with the Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF).
This brand-new programme offers motor factors VIP benefits such as exclusive access to the VIP lounge, free refreshments and light bites, unlimited meeting allocation in Automechanika Birmingham’s newly launched show app to meet exhibitors or visitors, free access to meeting rooms, priority access to the aftermarket keynote conference and entry to the Women in Automotive Network’s Drinks Reception on 7 June.
“Automechanika Birmingham 2023 is the most important event for the UK automotive industry, and we are dedicated to making sure all visitors and levels of the industry get what they really need from the show,” said Alex Jones, marketing director at event organiser Messe Frankfurt UK.
“We have been working with IAAF and motor factors across the UK to understand how we can make this event as integral as possible to the running of businesses. And we’re delighted to be giving back to distributors by launching the motorXfactor VIP Club at this years’ show.”
Leading motor factors already signed up to attend Automechanika Birmingham 2023 include LKQ Euro Car Parts, Arnold Clark Autoparts and Autosupplies Chesterfield.
Craig McCracken, Group Factor Manager at Arnold Clark Autoparts, says attending Automechanika Birmingham can help keep pace with the latest technologies and trends, drive businesses forward and raise the aftermarket trade profile.
Andy Hamilton, Group Chief Executive Officer at LKQ Euro Car Parts, says visiting the event and encouraging best practice sharing is essential if the automotive aftermarket is to attract and retain a more diverse workforce – and for operators looking to boost their technical capabilities in line with rapidly evolving vehicle technologies.
David Clarke, Managing Director at Autosupplies Chesterfield, will also be in attendance, commenting: “Visiting Automechanika is the perfect chance for motor factors, distributors, garages, bodyshops and dealerships to network and learn ways to develop themselves and their businesses.”
Motor Factors can connect in new ways
In a first for the event, Automechanika Birmingham has announced it will be offering visitors the chance to connect with exhibitors more easily than ever before at this year’s show, via the use of an innovative networking app.
Motor factors can take advantage of the app and AI-match with anyone looking for a distributer, as well as receiving unlimited meeting requests and pre-email contact to start networking before the show. Plus, they can use two meeting spaces in the VIP lounge.
Powered by artificial intelligence (AI), the app, which is available to download now in the App store and Google Play store, provides networking matches based upon an intricate algorithm.
Essentially, the more visitors interact with the app by selecting their preferences, the better and more relevant exhibitor matches they will receive.
More information on the app can be found here. Visitors to Automechanika Birmingham 2023 will enjoy a jam-packed show featuring over 500 exhibitors, including Bilstein Group, Bosch, Brembo, Castrol, Delphi, Hella, Liqui Moly and Mann & Hummel. Plus, over 192 hours of free technical training and topical discussions.
