Cataclean has joined with Team Dynamics in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), as sponsored driver Daniel Rowbottom takes the place of championship stalwart Matt Neal.
Halfords will also continue as a major sponsor, while Yuasa and Honda leave the team this year.
Cataclean have been in the BTCC paddock for several years with Rowbottom as their charger, starting in Clio’s and latterly progressing to the BTCC grid. The all-in-one fuel system cleaner that Cataclean originally invented has now developed into a range of offerings for petrol, diesel and hybrid vehicles as well as motorcycle, tool and garden machinery.
Halfords history in the sport dates back to when they sponsored Team Dynamics in their first Championship winning years of 2005 and 2006. After a break from the sport, they returned in 2016 to instantly grab another title. Halfords will be using this sponsorship to highlight their credentials as a motoring services business and spearhead their drive to become the leading electric and hybrid technology motoring services provider in the UK.
“We are delighted to be working with Team Dynamics and Halfords, having been in and around the BTCC paddock for several years now, we know this is the perfect Championship for us to be in to build our brand and educate people on our fantastic range of products,” commented Ross Baigent, managing director of Cataclean. “Halfords are our largest high street retail partner, so this relationship provides a great synergy for our business.”
Team Dynamics will welcome back Gordon Sheddon to partner Rowbottom this year. Neal will take a year out, but will continue his association with the team, as well as becoming a brand ambassador for Halfords.
