Dayco to highlight drive systems and thermal management

Stand P102

Dayco, the company that pioneered the belt in oil (BIO) innovation on behalf of vehicle manufacturers (VMs) such as Ford and VW, will be highlighting the opportunity regular BIO replacement for these engines provides the aftermarket, during Automechanika Birmingham in June.

“Although the BIO innovation is a fantastic solution, which helps these small and efficient engines to deliver incredible levels of power, alongside exceptionally low emissions and excellent fuel economy,” explained Dayco’s National Sales Manager, Steve Carolan, “they do need to be replaced more frequently, so it’s important for workshops to follow the VMs scheduled replacement intervals.”

Thermal management is another aftermarket ‘hot topic’, as maintaining the correct temperature in the various parts of the engine is imperative for sustaining its peak performance and maximum efficiency, and often that’s only possible with the use of electric pumps (e-pumps) that can be activated on demand.

“As thermal management has become so important, Dayco has responded and hugely increased the range of original equipment quality replacement parts in its aftermarket programme,” Carolan continues, “which is why our water pumps, e-pumps, thermostats and radiator caps, as well as the friction wheel switchable tensioner developed to activate the water pump in the BMW Mini, will also be prominent on our stand in Birmingham.

“In addition to timing and auxiliary drive systems and thermal management, we’ll also be showcasing our range of dampers, wheel bearings and steering & suspension products, so we offer a warm welcome to both wholesalers and installers who would like to speak with us about any of these products, on stand P102 in hall 19.”
