Easy2Recruit, the agency helping garages hire overseas talent, will be celebrating its first birthday at the UK Garage and Bodyshop Event, and its founder says the company is going from “strength to strength” as garages realise how it can help plug workshop staff shortages.
Easy2Recruit launched in June 2023 and since then the company has been helping automotive businesses to access skilled overseas workers. “One year on and our message is really reaching garages” said Ambi Singh, CEO of Easy2Recruit. “We are going from strength to strength as businesses see how simple it can be to take on an overseas technician.”
Making it Easy2Recruit
The company enables garages to recruit technicians from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and India. Once a garage has a licence from the Home Office, which it can help them obtain, they just need to perform a selection video interview with the candidate.
The recruitment specialist then handles all pastoral care for the overseas worker, including visa application flight booking and accommodation.
Alongside the core offering, Easy2Recruit offers Student2Skill, which pairs international students studying in the UK with garages looking for part-time workers. They are also the authorised recruitment supplier for the National Body Repair Association (NBRA).
“Over the last few months we have placed many technicians,” said Singh. “And the number continues to grow. “Our customers include some very high-profile businesses in the automotive aftermarket, and we look forward to being able to share these success stories with the sector in the very near future.”
