The Independent Garage Association (IGA) has made a donation of £20,000 to automotive charity Ben, to help it provide vital support to people in the sector.
In what has been a tough time for the charity, with funding slow due to the impact of COVID-19, the IGA donation on behalf of its members will go some way towards supporting all those in the automotive industry in need of help, be it with mental or physical health, financial issues or other life challenges.
“It has been another very difficult year for our industry as we continue to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, and Ben has seen a huge increase in demand for their life-saving support and services,” commented Stuart James, IGA Chief Executive. “There has never been a more important time for our industry to come together to help those in need.”
“I am delighted to make this donation as a thank you from members of the association, and to help Ben continue to provide their indispensable support to people struggling in our sector throughout this unprecedented time.”
Ben offers free support for life for anyone who works or has worked in the automotive industry, as well as their dependents. To contact Ben or make a donation, visit https://ben.org.uk.
