FixMyCar has announced two new appointments to its senior leadership team as it bolsters its talent at the top of the business.
Marc Russell, who has worked at the company for over three years, has been promoted to Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Matt Wrankmore will now fill the role of Head of Garage Network at the business, following promotion from Senior Operations Manager.
These are the first of several recent C-suite appointments at FixMyCar to be made internally, demonstrating the strength of in-house talent at its disposal.
Development key for Marc Russell
Marc Russell formerly held the role of Head of Customer Care and Regional UK Sales and played a significant role in the growth and retention of FixMyCar’s biggest partnerships, including the likes of Bosch and the RAC.
In his new role as CCO, Marc’s responsibilities will expand into bringing new fleet and warranty products to market and commercially developing FixMyCar’s network of independent garages. This comes as the company undergoes significant changes to its brand to grow its customer base amongst drivers and add to the continuous growth in its network of garages.
Russell has over 25 years of experience working in sales roles within the automotive industry, as well as an extensive track record of working with dealer networks and the parts aftermarket.
Extensive experience with Matt Wrankmore
Matt Wrankmore has been with FixMyCar for two years as Senior Operation Manager and will now join the leadership team in his new role as Head of Garage Network.
Matt has worked in the automotive industry for 20 years, with prior experience at Halfords, and has worked on supporting and managing the garage network in his two years at FixMyCar. In his new role, Wrankmore’s focus will be on growing the company’s network of UK garages and adding more value and support to the existing network with his team of Network Managers.
Both appointments add huge value to FixMyCar and its garage network thanks to the vast aftermarket knowledge both Marc Russell and Matt Wrankmore possess.
Exciting times
“I am thrilled we have been able to fill two important roles at FixMyCar with internal talent,” commented Amanda Webb, Interim CEO at FixMyCar. “The promotions of Matt and Marc speak highly of the aptitude and ability we have within our team and demonstrate that hard work and commitment are rewarded. Matt Wrankmore and Marc Russell will continue their successful work for us, for our partners and for our garage network, driven by their expertise and knowledge of both the company and the wider aftermarket, which is of huge value to us.
“It is a very exciting time for the business and with our planned projections for growth, building a solid and reliable leadership team has been a top priority. Our leadership team is already making great progress on our strategy for the short- and long-term future of FixMyCar.”
The appointments of Marc Russell and Matt Wrankmore mark yet another positive change at FixMyCar, following last month’s announcement of its new name as well as several new C-suite appointments over recent months.
