British automotive bush specialist Powerflex has added a new bush upgrade to its extensive application list for the first generation Audi RS 4 Avant, the German manufacturer’s highly anticipated second RennSport model.
The new rear upper arm inner bush kit represents a critical upgrade in the overall security of the rear half of the RS 4’s quattro drivetrain, essential given that this supercar-rivalling estate is now well over 20 years old and Audi has discontinued making original equipment parts.
What is more, as the associated wishbones are shared with other Audi models built on the B5 platform, this upgrade is also suitable for A4 and S4 model lines with quattro drivetrains.

After careful consideration and testing, Powerflex has opted to produce this rear upper arm inner bush upgrade in its stiffest Black (95A durometer) polyurethane blend irrespective of its Road Series or Black Series packaging.
Installed on either side of the original cast iron wishbone, each bush is paired with a stainless-steel sleeve to create a connection that is 80% stiffer than that of the original bush. The result is tightly controlled rear wheel movement and optimal alignment, leading to a more responsive, assured handling feel.
Powerflex bushes are rendered in specially formulated polyurethane blends that are renowned for their resistance to wear over prolonged use and high mileages, as well as common contaminants such as oil, salt and road grime.
