Point S Tyre & Autocare has strengthened its UK team with the appointment of Lee Charlesworth as Business Development Manager (BDM) Midlands.
In his new role, Charlesworth will be responsible for growing the Point S network in the region and working closely with existing members to futureproof their businesses and ensure their continued success.
Having spent the majority of his career in the automotive industry, Charlesworth brings extensive experience to the role, including a number of management positions at high profile automotive distributors and manufacturers.
After three-and-a-half years at Snap-On, Lee took on a management role at Euro Car Parts, where he gained vital experience working to grow the company’s autocare network, Auto First. In addition, Charlesworth has worked for Alliance Automotive Group as a Business Development Manager and has most recently taken on a customer-facing role at an independent workshop.
Charlesworth adds to updated line up
Charlesworth forms part of an updated regional structure at Point S, in which Sales Manager North, Gary Holden, oversees the BDMs in the Midlands, the north of England, and Scotland. The tailored approach of Point S’s regional structure enables the network to grow its membership strategically and effectively develop the businesses of existing members.
Point S UK Operations Manager, Wayne Daniel, said, “Bringing in somebody with Lee’s level of experience is crucial as we take the next step in the development of the network. As part of Gary Holden’s new Northern-based team, Lee will play a vital part in ensuring the continued growth of the network in the Midlands. I am delighted to welcome Lee to the team and I look forward to seeing his career at Point S develop.”
Lee Charlesworth added, “In addition to its stellar reputation for tyre servicing, Point S is fast becoming a prominent name in the UK automotive maintenance and repair sector, and I am extremely excited to now be a part of it. I am looking forward to putting my many years of experience towards supporting our members and growing our presence in the Midlands.”
In the UK, the Point S network comprises over 300 independent tyre dealers and auto repair centres. Members benefit from the network’s national and international purchasing agreements with leading suppliers of tyres, parts, oils and lubricants, tools, accessories, and consumables. In addition, Point S also offers local, regional, and national fleet tender opportunities and a bespoke training programme, as well as access to marketing support, digital tools, and Point S’s own-brand range of tyres.
