The upcoming British Independent Garage (BIG) Awards has revealed the cash prizes that will be offered to category winners at this year’s event. The event, organised by the Independent Garage Association (IGA), celebrates the best of the sector.
In line with last year’s awards, Stuart James, the IGA’s Chief Executive, has officially revealed that each category winner at the BIG Awards 2024 will receive a Cash Prize of £1,000 from the IGA as a gesture to recognise and reward their outstanding achievements within the industry.
“As a non-profit organisation, the IGA BIG Awards are about celebrating the hard work, dedication, and excellence of the independent garage sector rather than generating a profit,” James commented. “For this reason, we have decided that, just as we did last year, we will give a £1,000 cash prize to each of the 17 category winners. We are deeply grateful to all the sponsors whose generous support makes this event possible and to all the incredible garages who entered this year’s awards.”
Hosting duties for BIG Awards 2024
A record number of category wins are up for grabs this year, with finalists already announced. Winners will be celebrated at a dedicated event on 20th September at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, with tickets now available.
The evening will be fronted by TV personality Mark Durden-Smith. The presenter is is best known for his work on ITV shows such as I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! NOW!, and This Morning, as well as Sky 1’s The Match and “Double or Nothing.
“We are thrilled to have Mark Durden-Smith as our host for the BIG Awards 2024. His vibrant energy and professional expertise will undoubtedly add a special touch to this year’s ceremony,” added James.
