Connor Beard has recently joined Ring Carnation and will be responsible for the continued success and growth of the Ring Carnation business unit and its brand reputation by delivering cutting-edge new solutions and exceptional customer care.
The position became vacant when Richard Morley retired after a long and fruitful career at the end of May. A well respected and personable personality to many in the aftermarket, with previous roles at Hella, Klarius, SMP Europe before finishing off an outstanding career at Ring.
Ring Carnation are specialists in automotive electrical power management and control, that has been the market-leading supplier of switching systems with the emergency services since 1995, with the well-renowned GenisysTMsystem remaining the controller of choice for the majority of regional NHS fleets.
Formerly, Connor Beard was the Operations Director for Baldwin & Francis Ltd, who specialises in bespoke manufacture of Low to Medium Voltage (LV/MV) electrical power management and control solutions into Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) into a range of sectors. There he was responsible for managing all operations and the successful project management of major equipment projects for the company, as well as the Igranic Power range of products that the company also held the IP and manufacturing rights for.
His experience working within the bespoke manufacture of electrical power solutions into no-fail CNI applications, make him an ideal fit to lead the Carnation team going forward.
Previous to this, Connor Beard was a Captain within the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers in the British Army. There, he was responsible for managing the engineering and equipment support of large and complex operational fleets, and, as a professional electro-mechanical engineer, he led multiple vehicle/equipment capability development and modification projects to ensure that the technological advantage in the hostile environments they were operating in were maintained and leveraged.
