Rowe to sponsor Ty Cuthbert in karting for 2023

Oil and lubricant brand Rowe will be sponsoring kart racer Ty Cuthbert for the 2023 season, as the new-to-the-UK brand looks to support up-and-coming talent in motorsport.

Aged just 13, Ty Cuthbert has been racing since he was eight years old, starting out at indoor karting tracks ‘just for fun’, before being recognised for his talent and going on to compete – and win vice champion – in multiple championships since 2018.

In 2021 the young driver took a big move up to the junior Rotax two-stroke in the Ultimate Karting Championships, finishing 38th of 60 in his first year as rookie and first position as novice. Last year he finished in fourth place in the British Championship (BKC), with three podium places during the season.

As part of the Typhoon Racing team, Ty Cuthbert will be competing in the regional IKR (Independent Kart Racing) series this year and will have the support of Rowe’s premium oil on the racetrack in his four stroke kart, proving the brand’s leading racing credentials.

Ty’s racing season will take him to two of the UK’s best karting venues, beginning on 5th March at Shenington near Banbury. Rounds follow at Tattershall in Lincolnshire on 12th March, 9th April, 11th June and 8th October.

Ty will be back at Shenington’s track for rounds on 31st October and 5th November, before finishing the season at Tattershall on 12th November and 10th December.
