Automotive industry charity Ben has limited spaces for those looking to run the world-renowned London Marathon 2023, fundraising for its ongoing work to support automotive workers and their families.
The London Marathon 2023 is taking place on Sunday April 23rd, the event returning to its traditional April running for the first time since 2019.
The event is the UK’s most iconic marathon, winding its way through London, passing many of the stunning sights around the capital and ending its 26.2-mile route in front of Buckingham Palace on The Mall. It is often seen as one of the ultimate running challenges, and those taking part for Ben will contribute to raising vital funds to support automotive colleagues who are struggling or in crisis.
To take part, each participant needs to raise £2,000 for Ben and pay the £60 application fee. Click here to apply for the London Marathon 2023.
London Marathon 2023 back to its best
Last year’s event saw more than 40,000 run in the 42nd edition of the London Marathon. Thousands more joined the run virtually, taking part in a 24-hour window.
Organisers praised the diversity on show in 2022, with a sea of colour thanks to the Rainbow Row initiative, which encouraged the LGBTQIA+ community “to bring colour to the event”, according to the event director Hugh Brasher, while assisted wheelchair entrants were on the course for the first time, and the marathon championed its new non-binary entry policy.
The cost-of-living crisis is putting huge strains on many people at present, including those working in the automotive industry. Ben aims to support those in need and make its services available to as many people as possible.
