Schaeffler to launch Wrenches and Wisdom video series

Schaeffler has announced the launch of a new REPXPERT video series, ‘Wrenches and Wisdom’, as it creates a dedicated social media feed to give garages more access to the brand and its activities.

The company is seeking interested garages for its new series, which is scheduled to begin filming this autumn. For the first editions of Wrenches and Wisdom, the spotlight will be put on apprenticeships.

“We are calling on garages to register their interest in participating and sharing their unique perspectives,” said Matthew Selby, Sales and Marketing Director at Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket (UK) Ltd. “It is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your personal journey into the trade, just as Colin Denton did at the recent REPXPERT Conference, or to offer innovative ideas on how to engage and inspire the next generation of automotive technicians.”

Insight offered through Wrenches and Wisdom

Exploring the journeys of those who have made a successful career in the garage industry and seeking valuable insights on how to best attract fresh talent, the first series of Wrenches and Wisdom will take viewers on a tour of UK workshops. The aim is to highlight real-life stories and experiences from garage owners and technicians across the country.

“Independent garages, technicians and the apprentices that work within them are the backbone of the automotive aftermarket,” said Matthew. “Their stories and insights are invaluable.

“By participating in the filming of Wrenches and Wisdom, they have a unique opportunity to raise awareness of key issues within our industry and provide a platform to discuss and develop possible solutions. It is not just about sharing experiences, it’s also about fostering a community that supports and uplifts one another.”

Garage owners, technicians, and apprentices interested in being featured in the ‘Wrenches and Wisdom’ video series are invited to express their interest online here. Alternatively, they can email: info@repxpert.co.uk.

The launch of the video series follows the news that Schaeffler and REPXPERT social media accounts and posts can now be accessed from a dedicated feed. Thanks to the move, technicians will never miss out on news or announcements on upcoming training, special events or new products.

Schaeffler’s social media feed contains all posts from Schaeffler’s Europe-wide Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and X accounts, clearly displayed in date order, and accessible via a simple click. Content covered includes new technology, parts manufacturing updates and more.

Meanwhile, the REPXPERT feed is dedicated to posts from REPXPERT’s very active Facebook, YouTube and Instagram accounts. Here, technicians can find out the latest REPXPERT training updates and more.
