SMP Europe reveals 199 new references

A range expansion from engine management and ignition specialists, SMP Europe, has added a further 199 products to the company’s product portfolio.

SMP Europe’s continuous research and development, combined with a quality assurance programme with exacting demands, has contributed to a range expansion offering coverage for almost 50 million vehicles in the European car parc.

The engine management specialist constantly monitors the aftermarket to update its product offering, to ensure customers remain up to date and have the correct equipment they need for every repair.

The latest range expansion features additions to its cam and crank sensor, exhaust gas temperature sensor (EGTS), ignition coil, oxygen sensor and speed sensor ranges, across the company’s Intermotor, Fuel Parts, Kerr Nelson, Lemark and Lucas brands.

SMP Europe adds in multiple product areas

The new references include a new air mass meter for petrol-engine Lexus CT, Suzuki Swace and Toyota 4Runner, Auris, C-HR, Corolla, Land Cruiser and Prius cars. A further two million cars in the vehicle parc are covered by SMP Europe’s four new brake light switch introductions.

SMP Europe’s 13 new crank sensor parts cover a further 4.5 million vehicles in the parc, with new parts available for a comprehensive range of BMW cars, plus Citroen C3, C4, C5, DS3 and DS4 models, Peugeot 208, 308, 2008 and 3008 cars and Opel/Vauxhall Grandland and Corsa vehicles.

SMP Europe’s extensive EGTS range is expanded by 42 new-to-range references covering a further six million vehicles in the European car parc. Nine new fuel feed units are now available, and 16 new ignition coils, for various Alfa Romeo, Citroen, Dacia, Fiat, Honda, Jeep, Maserati, Mercedes, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Seat, Suzuki, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo-manufactured models.

There are 73 new oxygen sensors available with the latest range expansion, seven speedo sensors and a new throttle body for Porsche 911, Boxster, Cayenne, Cayman, Macan and Panamera cars. SMP Europe’s new additions feature nine new wheel speed sensors, for some Daimer, Jaguar, KIA, Mercedes and Mitsubishi models.

SMP Europe’s enhanced testing and validation processes ensure that components can perform to high standards over a long service life in the harshest of operating conditions.

The company has invested heavily over recent years in its testing laboratory, with machinery that can simulate a wide range of conditions including temperature degradation, salt mist and vibration.
