TRICO has heaped congratulations on an A1 Motor Stores member after being crowned Retailer of the Year at a recent awards ceremony.
Derbyshire-based JG Bestwick won the prize at the recent CAT awards, with owner John and his wife, Michelle, enjoying the company of TRICO Senior Brand and Product Manager, Sam Robinson and TRICO Technical Sales Representative, Andy Taylor, during the event held at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester.
JG Bestwick has enjoyed healthy margins since becoming a TRICO distributor in 2017 – with the Exact Fit range provingparticular popular among customers. John explained what first attracted him to the 100-year-old brand:
“TRICO is an original equipment brand, and the great design of its Exact Fit range means fitment is quick and precise. The red and black packaging is striking and conveys that the product is from a quality brand – which, of course, it is! We have enjoyed fantastic margins with TRICO and we haven’t looked back!
“TRICO’s back-up support from technical, sales and marketing is excellent. The point of sale material has also helped us establish the brand. The full range is also stocked in the A1 Motor Stores warehouse, which makes topping-up ultra-convenient.”
Sitting on their table, Sam was the first to congratulate the retailer on the prestigious honour.
He said: “We’re obviously delighted for JG Bestwick; to be associated with such a professional outfit is a privilege. We’ve enjoyed phenomenal success in the short few years that we’ve worked together, and I look forward to discovering what the next few years brings – congratulations to John!”
A1 Operations Director, Simon Salloway, was also in attendance at the awards ceremony and was full of praise for the award-winner: “It is widely recognised that the High Street has suffered over the years.
