The UK Garage and Bodyshop Event has unveiled details of this year’s 14 show features and new training hubs, as anticipation builds for the exhibition.
Taking place on 5-6 June at the NEC Birmingham, this unique trade event offers a prime opportunity for garages and workshops to access dynamic training, cutting-edge technologies, and essential tools for their trade. There is also free parking and breakfast provided for garages.
Attendees can engage in practical skills training led by over 80 renowned industry experts across four dedicated training hubs, covering topics such diagnostics, digitalisation, EV service and repair, DPF, ADAS, oils and lubricants, battery technology and technical data.
Workshop programmes at UK Garage and Bodyshop Event
First up, the UK Garage and Bodyshop Event is highlighting its new Workshop Management Hub, an essential feature for garage owners and managers looking to improve business operations, profitability, and plan for the future. Topics covered include the impact of electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid on the market and adapting operations for the digital world.
Additionally, the Workshop Technical Hub, in association with Autotechnician magazine, offers a jam-packed programme for the service, repair, and maintenance sector, to address challenges and advancements in the sector.
The Modern Garage returns this year, in partnership with LKQ Euro Car Parts, offering a glimpse into the future of service and repair. This feature will showcase the latest tools, technology, and solutions tailored for modern vehicles and demonstrate how garages and workshops can optimise their operations and maximise profitability.
Hosted by technical experts, Modern Garage provides practical insights and solutions on a range of key topics essential for servicing and repairing modern vehicles effectively. Visitors can also put their knowledge to the test and participate in interactive demonstrations and challenges on the stand for a chance to win exciting prizes.
New zones for visitors
New for 2024, the trade event will launch its official student programme in partnership with Autotech Group, aiming to engage fresh talent and showcase real-life opportunities within the sector.
The UK Garage and Bodyshop Event will also host its popular lounges again this year including Refuel & Recharge, plus the Bodyshop Lounge, hosted by Bodyshop magazine, offering a networking hub for the collision repair sector, and the Meet the Experts lounge, presented by Autotechnician magazine, providing visitors the chance to engage with guest speakers when they are not presenting.
Finally, the Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards return for 2024, hosted by IAAF and headline sponsored by LKQ Euro Car Parts. This glittering event ceremony will take place on 5 June and will celebrate the very best independent garages and technicians across the UK.
