Valeo has extended its EGR valve range with an additional 46 new parts, and is now offering 85 EGR references overall, covering more than 80 million vehicles in Europe.
Exhaust parts remain in high demand despite the ongoing electrification of the automotive sector.
According to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), 83.4% of new cars sold in the UK during the first half of 2024 utilised internal combustion engines. This includes traditional petrol and diesel vehicles as well as mild hybrids (MHEVs), plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), and full hybrids (HEVs). As a result, garages will continue to require access to exhaust system parts for the foreseeable future.
Valeo matches demand
To support this demand, the OE part manufacturer, Valeo, is providing extensive assistance to the aftermarket.
“Our goal is to offer garages a comprehensive exhaust management system solution,” said Andy Swann, Valeo Division General Manager. “Our customers will benefit from a broader selection of EGR valves due to our range expansion, enabling them to support the millions of motorists still driving internal combustion engine vehicles.”
The company’s exhaust range has been rapidly expanding, with the company delivering an impressive 355 oxygen sensor references and 265 EGT sensor references in recent years.
“This growth underscores Valeo’s commitment to meeting the needs of garages and motorists alike, said Andy, “ensuring they have the necessary parts to keep internal combustion engine vehicles running smoothly.”
