Ecobat Battery is shining a spotlight on its Lucas batteries brand by sponsoring Paul Barker and his Honda CBR1000RR for their combined British Superstock 1000 series campaign,
The series is a prominent championship that supports the popular British Superbike (BSB) competition.
The championship starts at Oulton Park (4th-6th May) and finishes at Brands Hatch (11th-13th October). Although it is on the calendar alongside all the UK rounds of the BSB, it also has an additional round at Silverstone (3rd & 4th August), on the undercard of the UK round of the Moto GP World Championship.
“Supporting Paul Barker, who is a prodigious talent on a very capable machine, with our proprietary aftermarket brand, ticks many boxes,” explained Ecobat Battery’s Commercial Director, Paul Payne. “The series supports the BSB, one of the UK’s most prominent championships, which has a huge following across the country, attracting between 35-60,000 spectators at the events, with around a million more watching each round on TV.
“Add the British round of the Moto GP into the mix, and the numbers soar even higher. So, the sight of the Lucas logo on both Paul Barker’s leathers and his machine, provides the brand with excellent exposure to many potential customers, over a considerable timespan.
Opportunities with Paul Barker sponsorship
In addition to the publicity the visibility will give to Lucas, another benefit the sponsorship agreement gives is the opportunity for Ecobat Battery to support existing customers with promotions and incentives at venues across the country, many of which are close to the company’s 13 national distribution hubs.
Ecobat Battery became the UK license holder for the Lucas brand of battery in 2009, extending the agreement to elevate Lucas to become the company’s ‘signature brand’ across Europe in 2016, further endorsing the truly pan-European nature of the business.
